Power of Attorney

This is a document that can permit someone to make financial or medical decisions on your behalf. (This then links to the following copy: A wise person will designate someone else to make legal, financial or medical decisions well before the person is no longer able to do so for himself.  A power of attorney is a simple document that can provide this solution.   

For those who have not designated a power of attorney, the probate court would have to appoint a guardian if and when a crisis should arise.

The probate court process can cause delays and be expensive—something that can be avoided by a power of attorney.
